New Product Alert - Maxi Cosi Nomad Plus

We often get asked about what parents should do when traveling with car seats abroad with their toddler and it is not the easiest question to answer. Generally the "Toddler" car seats (also known as Group 1) are very big and heavy and realistally not easy to transport.

The options are taking your 15 kilos seat with you and hope the airline doesn’t break it or hire a car seat when you are abroad and hope it has never been in an accident and the instructions are in English!

Great news! Maxi Cosi have produced a great solution which is also quite cost effective. Car seat hire can be about £5.00 per day making a two-week holiday cost around £70.00. This seat would pay for itself in two trips, and you would have peace of mind that you know the history of it, and it will come in useful as a 2nd car seat for grandparents etc.

We also think it will be a great option for parents who are trying to achieve 3 seats across the back seat of their car. This seat is only 37.5cm wide, making it one of the narrowest seats on the market for this age range. It is also only 4.6 kilos making it very lightweight.

Maxi Cosi Nomad Plus easy to install

It is approved to the latest R129/03 standard and fits pretty much every car as it is fixed into the car in less than 30 seconds with the vehicle seat belt.

We think this is a great car seat for certain situations but as it is a forward facing only car seat we would recommend using your main car seat rear facing as long as possible.
