Can I install the Nomad XL Plus in a rearward-facing position?   

No, Nomad XL Plus can only be used in a forward-facing position.

Can I install the Nomad XL Plus without the ISOFIX connectors?

From 15 months up to 4 years, the product must be installed using the ISOFIX connectors and the top tether. For group 2/3 use (from 4 years/100 cm up to 12 years), the integrated car seat belt needs to be used. We advise continuing to use the ISOFIX connectors for increased stability.

Can I install the Nomad XL Plus without the top tether?

For children up to 4 years old, secured with the integrated harness, the seat must be installed using ISOFIX connectors and the top tether. From 4 years up to 12 years old, the top tether is optional.

When should I switch from harness mode to booster mode?
As stated in the user manual, the child should be secured using the harness or the car seat until 105 cm. When your child reaches 100 cm, they can switch to booster mode, secured using the car seat belt.  

Should I remove the harness for children taller than 105 cm or older than approx. 4 years?

Never remove the harness from the seat. Store it away in the back of the seat when adjusting from 105 cm/4 years old.

Where can I store the harness when switching to booster mode?

The harness can be stored away once your child reaches 100 cm (approx. 4 years old) or reaches a maximum weight of 18 kg. From that moment, the car seat belt can be used. To store the harness away correctly, consult the user manual or instruction video.

 
Where can I store the buckle on my Nomad XL Plus?

How can I put Nomad XL Plus in a recline position? 
The Nomad XL Plus has 5 recline positions when the car seat is in harness mode, delivering added comfort for the child up to 105 cm/4 years old. Located at the front and centre of the seat, there’s a release handle that’s used to recline the seat into multiple relaxing positions.

How can I adjust the headrest? 
You can adjust the Nomad XL Plus in height by squeezing the grey button on the back side of the headrest. For extensive instructions please consult the user manual. 

Can I fold the Nomad XL Plus? 
Yes, the Nomad XL Plus is foldable and therefore easy to store. It folds into a package with the following dimensions: 46x53x23 cm. It even comes with a handy travel bag for when you want to take it with you.

How do I fold the Nomad XL Plus? 

The Nomad XL Plus can be folded very easily. When you see a complete smiley face on the back of the seat, that means it’s in the correct position to be folded. Simply press the button at the back, just below the smiley face, while pushing the car seat forward. For extensive instructions, please consult the user manual.

Can I take Nomad XL Plus on a plane as hand luggage? 

Nomad XL Plus folds into a package with dimensions of 46x53x23 cm, fitting within the cabin luggage limits of most airlines. However, since these limits vary between airlines, we recommend checking whether Nomad XL Plus meets your airline's carry-on requirements before your flight.

What is the difference between Nomad Plus and Nomad XL Plus? 

The difference between Nomad Plus and Nomad XL Plus is in terms of longevity and how they’re installed in the car.

Nomad Plus can be used from 15 months up to 4 years old and does not have ISOFIX connectors. The child should be secured with the integrated safety harness.

Nomad XL Plus can be used from 15 months up to 12 years old and can be installed using ISOFIX connectors and the top tether. The child is secured with the integrated safety harness. When your child reaches 4 years/150 cm, you can convert the seat into booster mode, secured with the car seat belt. Installing the ISOFIX connectors is optional. 

Why does the alarm go off?

When using Nomad XL Plus in harness mode, the top tether should be correctly tightened when installed. If it’s not correctly tightened, an alarm will go off to alert you so you can tighten it before driving.

The alarm might also go off when used in booster mode if the harness has not been correctly stored away. Once stored away, the alarm will no longer go off.

I dropped my car seat on the floor, do I need to replace it?

No, this is not necessary unless you drop the car seat from a great height. If a car seat falls from a low height, it is not comparable to a (serious) accident and does not need to be replaced. If in doubt, please contact our customer service team.
